Role: National Account Manager (Grocery / Tesco)
Location: HARIBO Castleford, Head Office (remote working; a minimum of one day per week spent in the office)
Working hours: 38(Flexibility to meet the demands of the role)

Salary: Competitive (including a company car and a 20% Sales bonus)
We are on the hunt for a ‘National Account Manager’ to come and join the sweet life at HARIBO and support our impressive Grocery channel!
Within this role you will report directly into our Head of Grocery, whilst also supporting with the development and engagement of one direct report. It is also critical you’re able to build sweet relationships with our Shopper Marketing, Category, Brand, Sales and Supply Chain Teams whilst not forgetting our external customers too.

How you’ll contribute to the mix:
1. Sales strategy and strategic business management:
2. Constructing, developing, implementing, and measuring tailored customer business plans to deliver sustainable and profitable sales growth
3. Reviewing all customer business plans and proposals, to agree and make changes that will positively drive sales and profitability
4. Planning and conducting regular Business Reviews with all account contacts
5. Competently using persuasive selling and negotiation skills/techniques to secure business plan objectives and new listings
6. Conducting regular store audits to check agreed activity and to accurately measure the quality of implementation
7. Using all the tools available to monitor, track and anticipate the market dynamics
8. Keeping pace with the constantly changing marketplace to anticipate market trends and remain competitive
9. Commercial awareness:
10. Conducting detailed and thorough promotional analysis of every customer promotion to ensure that there is commercial payback
11. Monitoring the budget control template and investment analysis report to ensure that it is inline with the agreed plan and actual allocated spending
12. Managing the credit rating and pro forma agreements whilst collaborating with the credit manager
13. Customer relationships:
14. Building and establishing exceptional relationships with all buyer and category contacts
15. Collaborating with influencers and decision makers to drive mutual profitable sales volume and growth
16. Collaborating with each customer to ensure invoice accuracy to avoid queries and to secure adherence to agreed payment terms
17. Eliminating customer fines and penalties
18. Forecasting and Logistics:
19. Supplying accurate sales forecasts and collaborating with the Supply Chain team to aid the communication process with customers
20. Considering cost effective ways of saving on transport costs
