The opportunity
As an Administrator at Azets, you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payrolls, undertake general administrative duties and work collaboratively within the payroll hub. You will also be responsible for effectively communicating with the team and partners, offices, HMRC, and third-party providers.
Day to day duties
1. Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payrolls to agreed deadlines
2. Input data for any of the payrolls when necessary, running audit and validation checks for payroll as well as interfacing of data to General Ledger and Pensions systems
3. Monitor SSP, SMP, and other statutory payments and calculations
4. Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
5. Manage any payroll changes to the time and attendance systems (PXD)
6. Administer the end-to-end payroll process and auto enrolment compliance for employees
7. Be on hand to answer any payroll-related enquiries from clients and be a trusted advisor
8. Act as first line support for pay queries
9. Peer check payrolls
10. Undertake general administrative duties and work collaboratively within the payroll hub
11. Develop relationships with the team, ensuring effective communication with the wider offices, HMRC, and other third-party providers
12. Keep up to date with payroll legislation and industry changes through independent research
What are we looking for?
1. Previous payroll administration experience, minimum of one year service within a busy service-driven environment (preferably within a bureau environment)
2. End-to-end payroll processing experience including pensions, benefits, and statutory payments
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail across both manual and systems-based work
4. A natural ability to coordinate, prioritise, and multitask with little supervision
5. Strong customer-focused approach, with the ability to handle customer queries by telephone and email
