Your Role as a Financial Controller (Investment, Development & Partnerships) Reporting to the Financial Reporting Director, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and leading key capital finance decisions and processes. Your responsibilities will include: Providing technical accounting expertise in capital finance, investments, and disposals, in line with SORP and UK GAAP. Supporting strategic decision-making with financial insights and analysis. Advising on accounting treatment for new investment and development opportunities. Collaborating across the Financial Control team to ensure alignment on technical accounting and tax positions. Holding an approval position on the Property Replacement Panel (PRP) and reporting to the Asset Management Approval Panel (AMAP) on sales and disposals. Ensuring efficient financial processes are in place to manage capital transactions effectively. Overseeing reconciliations across Investment, Development and Partnerships (IDP). Managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for key areas, including: Development management costs Void disposals Institutional investments Outright and First Tranche Sales Right to Buy/Acquire disposals Staircasing transactions Commercial rental income and sales Providing ad hoc financial analysis and technical guidance on sales, disposals, and new development projects. What They Are Looking For Our client is looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) with at least two years of post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have: Strong technical expertise in capital finance, real estate, housebuilding, or property-related transactions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. A solid understanding of sales, disposals, and investment accounting processes. Confidence in managing balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting. Good attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple financial tasks efficiently.
