About the Role:
Are you looking for a fulfilling career as an RVN with a salary of up to £32,000? Join our friendly and supportive small animal practice, where you’ll be an integral part of a team that values exceptional patient and client care.
Our practice boasts cutting-edge equipment, including an in-house laboratory, separate dog and cat wards, isolation ward, digital X-ray (standard and dental), ultrasound, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, ultrasonic dental equipment, and a class 4 laser.
You’ll be working alongside a talented team of vets, nurses, a practice manager, and a reception team. We follow RCVS practice standards and are accredited as a silver ISFM cat-friendly clinic.
We empower our nurses to utilise their full range of skills, including admissions, inpatient care, anaesthesia, and discharges. CPD is actively supported, including training in schedule 3 procedures. We also encourage specific interests such as inpatient care, diagnostic lab work, and medical and surgical nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform a range of nursing duties, including patient admissions, surgery assistance, and post-operative care.
* Provide compassionate care to all patients and clients.
* Contribute to the daily running of the practice, helping maintain high standards of care.
* Embrace all aspects of the veterinary nursing role, focusing on excellent patient and client care.
* Engage in the business side of the practice and support the team in achieving personal and practice goals.
About You:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as an RVN.
* Excellent customer service skills and a passion for animal welfare.
* Clinical coach experience is ideal but not essential.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A proactive and positive approach to learning and team motivation.
* Work Schedule: Full-time role, including 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM), changing to 1 in 4 in April. Weekday shifts include: No out-of-hours (OOH) or overnight inpatient checks are required.
