Lisa Wright Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Legal Accounts Assistant to join a well-established firm of solicitors in Spalding, Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to join a supportive team. Previous legal accounts experience is desirable but not essential.
Accounts Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
* Receipts: Process all incoming funds (electronic, cheque, online, card payments, and cash), maintain bank registers, and reconcile deposit accounts.
* Payments: Authorise and input electronic and cheque payments, handle out-of-date cheques, and manage Trust Register.
* Billing: Post bills, credit notes, write-offs, disbursements, and transfers, including Land Registry, Companies House, and other legal-related invoices.
* Float Duties: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, salary/pension postings, balance petty cash, and check completion statements.
Accounts Assistant - Skills and Experience:
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Experience in accounts (sales ledger / purchase ledger)
* Ability to work well within a team and build relationships.
* Excellent time management skills.
