Working alongside the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the running of a fleet of vehicles and the movements of around 35-50 drivers.
The role involves checking the vehicles on return to base and before they leave, making sure they are up to the desired standards.
Running all systems with regard to drivers' hours and compliance with VOSA regulations.
Planning drivers onto the calendar to cover all the jobs in hand.
You will be needed to be contacted by drivers 24 hours a day in case of very rare issues.
A PSV CPC Holder would be preferred; however, full training will be given.
The job comes with a fully expensed company car, phone, laptop, and iPad to enable you to work away from the office when required.
Working as part of a small team, it is important that you are a great communicator and can help others in their roles.

Qualifications
1. Strong background in logistics and supply chain management including DVSA compliance
2. Proven experience in managing transportation operations
3. Excellent leadership and communication skills
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
5. Customer service-oriented with a focus on efficiency and quality
6. Valid driver's license and clean driving record
7. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure
