Position: Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Brighton
Start Date: After Easter (April 2025)
End Date: Until the end of the academic year (July 2025)
Hours: Full Time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Hourly Rate: £13.75 per hour
About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a vibrant and welcoming school in Brighton. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students, helping them to achieve their best and grow in confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to children with SEN, ensuring their learning needs are met effectively.
2. Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities.
3. Support children in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, adapting to their specific needs.
4. Encourage positive behaviour and foster a nurturing environment.
5. Assist with general classroom duties and contribute to a positive school atmosphere.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
2. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
4. Knowledge of SEN or a desire to learn more about supporting children with special educational needs.
