Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Build Engineer to join their innovative team. This role focuses on the build, assembly, and installation of friction welding machinery, requiring expertise in spindle building, base leveling, and working with complex mechanical sub-assemblies such as clamps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Assembly: Build and assemble bespoke machinery, including spindles, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic components.
Precision Work: Perform base leveling and ensure accurate alignment of mechanical systems.
Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
Systems Installation: Install hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
Onsite Work: Conduct onsite installations, repairs, and upgrades at customer locations in the UK and internationally.
Machining: Operate equipment such as millers, lathes, and grinders to fabricate or modify parts when required.
Quality Control: Inspect components using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to enhance build processes and support project planning initiatives.
Role Requirements:
Strong background in bespoke machine building, specifically spindle assembly and base leveling.
Mechanical Engineering qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC).
Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and fluid schematics.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
Familiarity with operating machine shop tools (e.g., millers, lathes, grinders).
Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Must possess a valid UK driving license and passport for international travel.
