Due to continued growth and increased demands, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager/ Director to oversee and manage all aspects of operations and ensure they continue to meet & exceed targets, standards, and expectations, while maintaining a safe, efficient and sustainable operation.
About your new role
Forming part of the senior leadership team, you will head up operations; leading and influencing excellence, accountable for multi-functional teams, production, warehouse, logistics, HSE and maintenance, amongst others. You will create and maintain a culture of collaboration and form a collective approach towards manufacturing excellence and high-quality outputs.
Other typical duties will include:
1. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of managers and staff across various departments and functions.
2. Plan, implement, and monitor production schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure optimal performance and output.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
4. Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
5. Liaise and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and senior management.
6. Identify and resolve any operational issues or challenges that may arise.
7. Keep up to date with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in the textile and manufacturing industry.
The successful candidate
• A degree or equivalent qualification in operational, engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role in a consumer manufacturing environment.
• A strong knowledge and understanding of production processes, technologies, and quality standards.
• A proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire teams and individuals.
• A strategic and analytical mindset, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• A customer-focused and results-oriented approach, with a commitment to excellence and innovation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• A flexible and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow.
• The right to work in the UK.
• UK driving licence.
