Key Responsibilities:
Tender Administration & Management
* Log and manage all tender enquiries, maintaining accurate electronic and paper records.
* Review and organise all relevant tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bid requirements.
* Identify key suppliers and alternative options for tender submissions.
* Perform take-offs (counting and measuring) from drawings to quantify labour, materials, and plant requirements.
* Prepare and issue bid packages to suppliers, ensuring strict deadlines are met.
* Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of tender prices.
* Input and maintain all data within estimation software.
* Identify inclusions and exclusions within bids to provide accurate pricing.
* Collaborate with the Design and Contract Management teams to optimise contract methodology, incorporating value engineering and emerging technologies.
* Develop a structured programme and timeline for each tender submission.
Additional Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, consulting engineers, quantity surveyors, and client representatives.
* Proactively seek out new tender opportunities.
* Challenge conventional practices by demonstrating innovative, commercial, and profit-driven approaches.
* Carry out any other duties as required by the Commercial Director.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience
* Proven ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of management.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to take direction and follow instructions effectively.
