Concept are delighted to be partnered with a Director ofProcurement at a leading West Midlands based health care provider toassist in the recruitment of a Category Manager. Job overview:
Asa Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting theprocurement service to provide value for money solutions and achievesignificant savings for the organisation. Reporting to the Head ofProcurement, you will be responsible for developing and implementingcategory strategies, leading procurement initiatives, and ensuringcompliance with procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaboratewith senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement andchange in procurement practices.
* Develop and maintainrelationships with stakeholders to optimise procurement performance.
* Lead category management activities and develop robustcategory strategies.
* Lead, manage, evaluate, and report onproduct trials.
* Monitor contract compliance and improvesupplier performance to support cost improvement initiatives.
* Stay informed about government directives and health careprocurement strategies.
* Represent the Trust at national andregional events and projects.
Whatyou need:
Skills and Knowledge:
* Thoroughunderstanding of supply chain management, contract processes.
* Excellent negotiation skills and ability to solve complexcontracting problems innovatively.
* Strong proficiency in MSExcel and IT procurement systems.
* Effective communicationskills across various stakeholders.
* Ability to workeffectively in a team and support staff development.
Experience:
* Proven experience inprocurement/category management within a large organisation preferablyfrom a health care industry.
* Experience in leading high-valueprocurement's from conception to implementation.
* Knowledge of public sector procurement processes andregulations is desirable.
For the successful candidate my client is offering acompetitive salary of up to £50,000 plus additional benefits.
