At TP Tutors, we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Maths Intervention Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to students in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. This role is ideal for those with experience working with SEN students in roles such as teacher, tutor, teaching assistant, or 1:1 support worker.
About the Role:
* Plan and deliver engaging Maths sessions, tailored to the student’s individual needs.
* Work face-to-face with SEN students, including those with ASD, SEMH, or PMLD. Tuition may take place in the student’s home, a care home, or a local setting such as a library (agreed with parents/carers).
* Track progress, identify next steps, and build numeracy confidence.
* Inspire and motivate students, making Maths accessible and engaging.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support student focus.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with SEN children.
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging Maths sessions based on individual learning needs.
* Strong behaviour management skills.
* A passion for helping students build their confidence and achieve their potential.
* Experience tracking progress and setting learning goals.
Requirements:
All applicants will be subject to background checks and must hold a current DBS certificate (registered on the update service). Teaching Personnel can assist with this if needed.
