Job Description
An exciting new opportunity has arisen with New Directions to fulfil the role of a learning support assistant within key stage 1 classes. During key stage 1 pupils begin to learn about themselves as developing individuals, building on their experiences and on the early learning goals for personal, social and emotional development. The successful candidate will strive to make the classroom a fun environment for young pupils to learn and grow.
Ideally we ask for 3 months minimum experience working with children, or have a child based qualification. We do consider candidates who have transferable skills, this means having experience working in social care, coaching or nursing.

For this Job Role you will need:
To be confident working with pupils who need extra support within the classroom.
To be able to work closely, communicate well and lease with teachers and other members of staff.
Feel comfortable taking small groups of children and giving 1-1 support.
To be able to adapt different learning approaches to meet the needs of individual pupils.
