This role will sit across two teams: Assessing and Managing Cyber Resilience (AMCR) focusing on the first pillar of the Government Cyber Security Strategy, this work is underpinned by the adoption of the National Cyber Security Centres (NCSC) Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) as the assurance framework for government. Defend as One (DaO) focusing on the second pillar of the strategy to defend as one (DAO). Recognising that the scale and pace of the cyber threat demands a more comprehensive and joined up response. As a Senior Community Manager you will be responsible for developing and owning a shared engagement strategy that builds the profile of the Local Digital teams cyber work and enables collaboration and co-design with the sector and partners. This role is integral to successful delivery of services and support that is responsive to the needs of local government and supports improvements in cyber resilience. Job description As a Senior Community Manager you'll: provide leadership and guidance in developing, shaping and implementing a shared engagement strategy for DaO and AMCR programmes. Lead a team implementing the engagement strategy. This may include line management of junior members of the team act as the teams representative at various networks and events, including with senior stakeholders. Lead in championing the aims and ambitions of the whole Local Digital programme across the stakeholder community identify and pursue collaborative opportunities with key stakeholders across the sector collaborate with partners, communications teams, and service teams to elevate the profile of our cyber initiatives and encourage councils to utilise available services and support support the Service Owners, to assess and identify any gaps in the support provided by MHCLG through engagement with the sector coordinate user research activities across DaO and AMCR teams leverage insights gained from engagement activities to shape the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the AMCR programme play a key role in governments response to cyber incidents or major vulnerabilities. This may include coordinating engagement with councils who have experienced a cyber incident, the wider local government sector, within MHCLG and across Whitehall, as well as providing dedicated support to specific councils in the event of more serious cyber incidents Please note : due to the nature of the role, the post-holder will be expected to travel across various offices. Grade 7 salary The salary for this role is £54,531 - £64,641 (National). For existing civil servants, the usual policy on level transfer and promotion will apply and is non-negotiable.
