About the Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Childrens Support Worker for a well-established residential service based in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, permanent role where youll be playing a vital part in supporting children and young people, helping them thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. As a Childrens Support Worker, you will offer day-to-day support, providing guidance, building positive relationships, and assisting with both personal and social development. Key Responsibilities: Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people within the residential setting. Help with personal care, daily routines, and recreational activities. Build positive relationships and offer guidance to promote independence and personal growth. Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure holistic care for each child. Complete accurate records and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times. Participate in sleepovers and overtime shifts as required. What Were Looking For: Previous experience in a childrens or residential care setting is ideal, but we are also open to applicants who are keen to learn and have the right attitude. A compassionate, patient, and resilient nature with a strong desire to support young people in reaching their full potential. Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with both children and colleagues. Flexibility to work various shifts, including sleepovers and overtime as required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism.
