Job summary
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join our Tissue Viability team on a part time basis. The amalgamation of Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals, into University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust means that this is a really exiting time to join our team.
The Tissue Viability service provides advice and support on the management of complex wounds across the Trust. We work clinically together with ward-based staff to ensure the best outcomes for our patients and have a strong focus on education. A passion for the prevention of pressure ulceration and wound care is essential.
Set working pattern can be flexible within Monday - Friday 0800-1600hrs

Location: Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital Cross site working will be required for this role

Main duties of the job
The main purpose of the role is:
1. Work as part of the Tissue Viability team to develop, improve and maintain high standards of care relating to tissue viability
2. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate prevention and management plans for patients with complex tissue viability needs
3. Provide education, support and act as a resource for members of the multidisciplinary team, patients and families with regard to wound management and tissue viability.
4. Support clinical staff to implement the Trust Pressure Ulcer Prevention Strategy, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained
5. Support the process of accurate reporting and analysis of pressure ulcers including investigation processes
