About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading organisation in the industrial and energy sectors. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile projects across chemical manufacturing, oil & gas, hydrogen, CCUS, and power generation. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of electrical systems in a complex, high-hazard environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert technical guidance and support on a wide range of electrical equipment, including power distribution systems, rotating machinery, and control equipment.
Lead electrical engineering support for operations and asset management, including overseeing asset repairs, replacements, and modifications.
Support and manage Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) processes to ensure safe and effective system modifications.
Take ownership of electrical engineering deliverables on complex, multi-discipline projects or lead more specialised single-discipline projects.
Ensure all engineering work is delivered on time, within budget, and meets all relevant industry standards and regulations.
Act as a technical authority, providing expert guidance and contributing to the development and maintenance of internal engineering standards.
What We’re Looking For
A degree (BEng/MEng) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with the IET or actively working towards chartership (or equivalent experience).
Strong experience in industrial high-hazard environments such as chemical plants, oil & gas, hydrogen, or power generation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative technical solutions.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
