This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to learn through a mixture of on-the-job experience and block release training through an apprenticeship provider. You will learn how to be an LGV Driver, under the guidance of experienced professionals. The role is based on a Monday-Friday working week. You will receive a starting salary of £18,434.24 and once qualified could earn up to £39,387.64. The Apprentice LGV Driver? Learn how to drive company vehicles efficiently, legally, safely and with due consideration to other road users at all times Learn how to effectively ensure vehicle check procedures are fully conducted and recorded prior to and post journey times, reporting any defects to relevant colleagues where appropriate Learn how to Interpret and apply routing information to maximise journey times and routes where necessary, ensuring all relevant colleagues are updated when changes are required Learn how to assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures, including conducting regular temperature checks and raising any issues immediately with relevant colleagues Maintain the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition at all times and ensure the company’s legal obligations associated with the carriage of food are met Learn how to anticipate and address factors that adversely affects ability to drive safely and take proactive steps to maximise driving performance Learn how to ensure all manifest and related proof of delivery paperwork are fully completed, signed and returned to relevant colleagues Training: Follow ongoing training plan to ensure all Learning Outcomes are met over the duration of the apprenticeship Be diligent and committed to the apprenticeship process and make sure that any concerns or questions are raised with the appropriate person Work together with the training provider and Stef Langdons to meet all expectations of the apprenticeship Attend and take part in off site training at regular intervals (usually every 2 months) What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Apprentice LGV Driver?
