You will be supporting our Communications team with the admin tasks involved in keeping our website updated. This includes helping us keep our content up to date, including adding events to the website. It would be suitable for someone who has strong IT skills and an interest or experience in websites and content management systems.
What we need from you
1. A willingness to learn and become part of our team
2. As part of our Volunteer Recruitment process, we will ask for references and will complete a DBS check
3. A minimum of 3 or 4 hours a week
4. This is a remote volunteering opportunity, so you will need internet access and your own computer
What training and support will you receive?
1. You will need to do some initial training via e-learning, and some training around our website work
2. There are opportunities for ongoing training, usually provided online, in other topics
3. You will have a supervisor who will provide ongoing support
4. If you live close to our Essex office (Braintree), we can deliver this training face to face; otherwise, it will be delivered virtually
5. We hold regular virtual volunteer drop-ins as well as celebration events throughout the year
6. We will pay expenses you incur as part of this role, including travel
About the organisation
We are a charity that supports unpaid carers in Essex. We offer specialist support by providing information, advice, guidance, activities, training, and support groups to all adult carers in Essex.
