DUTIES
Your duties as the Legal Secretary include:
1. Assist Solicitors in preparing and managing legal documents related to Family Law, Wills, Probate or LPAs
2. Conduct research and gather information pertinent to cases
3. Maintain and organise client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
4. Communicate with clients, both in person and over the phone, providing exceptional customer service and answering inquiries
5. Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates as needed
6. Prepare legal correspondence and documents, including letters, contracts, and court forms
7. Assist in the drafting and filing of legal pleadings and motions
8. Perform administrative tasks to support the legal team, including managing calendars, making travel arrangements, and maintaining office supplies
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
9. Previous experience as a Legal Secretary with a focus on Family, Wills, Probate or LPAs is required
10. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
12. Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
13. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
14. Client-focused with exceptional interpersonal skills
15. Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology in the relevant practice areas
