You will be working within a fast-paced & dynamic environment, managing a wide network of commercial & operational stakeholders to continue the delivery of commercial growth and a sustainable economic model. Trading Finance work closely with the Clothing & GM Trading & broader Ecommerce teams, supporting in strategic direction, decision making and providing insight into all aspects of commercial performance. You will business partner the George.com Senior Director and be a key part of their leadership team. You will manage a full P&L from sales & GP, through costs such as picking, delivery, webhosting, marketing & store costs. Your Role You will be responsible for understanding and driving improvements in the commercial performance, stimulating strategic decision making, driving financial discipline, processes, and accountability, to deliver the ambitious growth plans for George.com. The main responsibilities include: Driving delivery of the 2025 plan in partnership with the key leadership, challenging where appropriate to ensure that targets are met. Own the reporting & forecasting for George.com net profitability and EBITDA, providing tailored insight and presenting findings during the monthly reviews with the George.com Leadership Team Take the lead in the 3-year strategy planning process. Work with the George.com leadership to ensure correct modelling of strategic initiatives and alignment to corporate principals Build robust business cases to prioritise capex investment; support decision making and ensure alignment to the 3-year plan. e.g., Pick from store • Interpreting and communicating trends within financial data e.g., market share, traffic vs. marketing spends, sales performance. Strengthen performance management across the George.com P&L through improved forecast accuracy & planning • Drive the EDLC (Everyday Low Cost) agenda – work with the business to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and cost savings ultimately tracking and driving the delivery Support cross functional working between store ops, logistics, trading & George.com teams to drive greater forecast alignment and accountability to drive performance. Collaborative working across finance to obtain key data and drive results About You The role would suit a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA background interested in working in retail. Trading finance have experience in commercial finance with confidence to set the agenda. An inquisitive mind with a desire to understand how things work and connect together. A growth mindset to invest in the development opportunities available both technically and personally. Ability to build and maintain exceptional customer relationships Pro-active with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders • Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to operate within a broader customer leadership team This role can be based at either Asda House, Leeds or George House, Lutterworth, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.
