Care Home Unit Manager, Vacancy reference: PK62325
A dedicated individual is required to help run an established Care Home within the Keighley area as one of their Unit Managers. The independently owned home specialises in elderly and dementia clients and is rated ‘Good’ in their CQC report.
As Unit Manager for their 20 bedded Residential Dementia unit you will ensure that the care provided is to the highest possible standards, supporting and supervising the care team, and reporting to the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager above you. This is a full-time, permanent position paying a fantastic starting rate of £17.75 per hour and working 35 to 40 hours/week.
Previous Unit Manager or Deputy Care Manager experience is preferred, however this could be the ideal role for an experienced Care Team Leader looking to take a step up into more of a managerial role within care.
The successful candidate will have previous Team Leading experience in an elderly care home environment with good leadership skills and a strong personality. As the Residential Dementia Unit Manager on the you will work as the link between the Senior Carers and Home Manager, ensuring that the care home’s high standards are maintained.
Care Home Unit Manager Skills and Experience:
* NVQ Level 3/4 in Health and Social Care minimum
* Medication training
* Must be proficient with: care planning process, risk assessments, supervisions of staff, liaising with families and other healthcare professionals
Care Home Unit Manager duties will include:
* Shift leading and ensuring a high quality of person-centred care is provided at all times
* Creating and updating care plans, carrying out care plan meetings when appropriate
* Working on the floor
Suitable for: Care Team Leader, Head of Care, Care Coordinator, Deputy Care Manager or similar
