MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with an Environmental Advisor for our ESD joint venture framework. Based in the Stepps office you will you will travel throughout the Central Belt region supporting and assisting in the delivery of project environmental objectives and targets. You will report directly to the Head of Health and Safety and the responsibilities will include:
* Undertake monthly SSERs on projects in line with the SSER Schedule environmental aspects of the project. This will also include any Parent Company focus areas as and when required
* Carry out advisory visits monthly on projects to provide support and assistance to projects
* Assist and review outputs from initial site screening assessments with design and prepare teams.
* Lead design based environmental audits on projects within the prepare and design phase of projects
* Review and provide assistance to site teams in the completion of environmental license applications and response to planning conditions.
* Manages liaison with client's regional environmental advisors (SW SSD Environment)
* Leads delivery of ESD Environmental training including BMS for the business as and when required
* Participates in any Client required initiatives / working groups / forums as and when required
Degree level qualification. MSc Preferred in relevant subject area.
* Membership of an appropriate professional body preferred.
* Good experience of working in construction - full lifecycle
* Experienced in environmental auditing and working with environmental regulations e.g. SEPA / SNH
