This post is suitable for newly qualified Pharmacists who want to progress their career in Hospital Clinical Pharmacy in a supported development post.
You will also be eligible for enrolment into our innovative STAR (Support, Training, Accreditation, Rewards) programme which supports personal, clinical and career development for our team.

As the successful candidate, you will provide a high quality clinical pharmacy service to all patients across the Trust, working closely with all members of the pharmacy team. You will undertake training and gain experience in various areas of the pharmacy department and clinical specialities through a structured, competency assessed, rotational programme covering specialities in:
• Acute Medicine
• Cardiac Services
• Women’s and Children’s Services
• Gastro medicine and surgery
• General Surgery
• General Medicine
• Respiratory Medicine
• Neuro Sciences
• Aseptic Services
• Medicines Information
• Clinical Trials
• Renal Medicine
• Trauma and Orthopaedics
In addition, you will be enrolled onto our STAR programme access to a mentorship structure within the rotations to help co-ordinate your journey from newly qualified to a highly effective member of the clinical pharmacy team.
Applications are welcomed from both Trainee Pharmacists aiming to qualify in August/September 2025 and registered Clinical Pharmacists working in UK NHS Trusts.
A recruitment selection process will take place on 17th and 18th March 2025- shortlisted candidates will only be required to attend one of these sessions.
Applicants must be registered or are due to register as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

You will join our supportive department which has over 80 Clinical Pharmacists who play a key role in the delivery of our comprehensive pharmacy service; ensuring our patients receive safe, effective and timely medication therapy. You will provide operational support to the department as part of the agreed rotational training programme.
You will be supported with a development plan which is underpinned by the STAR Programme which includes:

• Support towards post-graduate learning; leadership programmes, clinical diploma or independent prescribing
• Regular 1:1 educational observations in practice
