Project Engineer Highway Design
Via East Midlands is currently seeking four Project Engineers with experience in Highway Maintenance and Developments to join our Highway Design team based at our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

What you'll do:
1. Design and manage the delivery of highway-related construction and maintenance projects, which may be complex and significant.
2. Provide specialist design, technical, and cost advice to internal and external clients.
3. Manage the evaluation and authorization of externally designed engineering schemes to ensure the highway asset meets regional and design specifications and safety standards.
4. Collaborate with Via's Construction and Commercial Division to manage workflow supporting the achievement of company objectives.
5. Manage consultation, communication, and liaison with clients and a wide range of stakeholders, including members of the public and elected Members, to facilitate project delivery and maintain a positive reputation.
What we're seeking:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject, with post-qualification relevant experience or equivalent knowledge.
* Strong ICT skills, including competence in specialist computer applications supporting engineering design activities.
* Working knowledge of current highway and civil engineering design standards, contracts, procedures, and legislation.
* Knowledge of health and safety, traffic management, and good industry practices.
* A high level of personal drive and commitment to customer care, with the ability to set an example for others.
* Full UK driving licence.
