An opportunity has arisen for a District Nurse to join the Banff & Buchan North Community Nursing Team in the Fraserburgh Locality, based in Fraserburgh Hospital. The successful candidate will become the caseload holder for patients registered with Finlayson and Saltoun surgeries. This is a challenging role in which the successful candidates will take responsibility for managing a caseload and ensuring the delivery of high quality nursing care. Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to team working, and ongoing professional development. Car driver/owner essential. Community experience is essential and candidates must possess a Specialist Practice District Nursing qualification, with additional qualifications in advanced clinical examination and non-medical prescribing. Working independently as a lone worker, the successful candidates will have community experience and nursing skills including all forms of catheterisation, palliative care, wound care, venepuncture and promotion of continence. An interest in preceptorship, mentoring and teaching junior staff and pre-reg students is essential. The successful candidate will work across the Fraserburgh area nursing housebound patients within their own home. Shift pattern 0830-1700. Interview date for the post is TBC.
