We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Advisor to ensure our client maintains full compliance with health and safety legislation while implementing best practices across the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily H&S reporting, data analysis, and system improvements, as well as fostering a strong safety culture through effective communication and training.

Key Responsibilities

Review and enhance existing H&S policies, procedures, and reporting to align with safety strategies.

Support the development of safe systems of work across all departments.
*
Conduct regular audits and address unsafe behaviours at all levels of the business.
*
Deliver educational briefings and training sessions to improve safety awareness.
*
Provide expert H&S advice to employees on safety-related matters.
*
Collaborate with HR to enhance employee onboarding and conduct health and safety inductions.
*
Assist HR with occupational health enquiries and assessments.
*
Conduct and review RISK/COSHH assessments, ensuring controls are implemented and documented.
*
Investigate incidents, enforce preventative measures, and validate corrective actions.
*
Prepare and present reports on accidents, near misses, and safety initiatives.
*
Manage action trackers and implement proactive reporting methods on the factory floor.
*
Coordinate Toolbox Talks, Safety Notices, and One-Point Lessons across the business.
*
Oversee and update First Aid and Fire Marshal responsibilities.
*
Arrange external safety assessments as required.
*
Ensure compliance with GDPR when handling sensitive information.
*
Support management in achieving the company's H&S strategy.
*
Establish and oversee departmental H&S champions.
*
Assist the Health & Safety Manager in all required capacities.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Essential:
*
NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
*
Strong knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation.
✅ Preferred:

Experience in a Manufacturing, Assembly, or Factory Environment.
