Job overview
Lincoln County Hospital has two SPECT-CT gamma cameras (Siemens Pro-SPECTA, and Phillips BrightView XCT, SPECT/CT), and one SPECT camera (Siemens Evo) in a newly renovated Nuclear Medicine Dept. Approximately 4000 patient imaging procedures (adult and paediatric) are performed per year with a high proportion of bone, renal and cardiac and SeHCat procedures.
The post holder will be involved in all the routine activities, including radiopharmacy, imaging, non-imaging, image processing, equipment QC, MRT, dispensing and injecting radiopharmaceuticals. This will require flexibility of working hours as start times vary. This is a Monday to Friday service with occasional optional weekend clinics.
This role is subject to deferment; candidates will start no earlier than July 2025.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be involved in all the routine activities of the Nuclear Medicine department (Radiopharmacy, scanning, equipment QC, image processing, dispensing, injecting radiopharmaceuticals and MRT), as expected of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The post holder will interface with a wide range of staff groups on site including clinicians, scientists, technologists, trainee technologists, assistant technologists, and nurses to ensure the safe and effective management and treatment of nuclear medicine patients.

Qualifications
* Honours Degree/Post Grad qualification in NM / HND in MPPM
Previous Experience
* Experience working in NM
* Experience in Radiopharmacy
* Experience with SPECT/CT
* Experience in Advanced imaging processing
* Knowledge of Microsoft applications / Scientific application
Interpersonal skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels
* Ability to deal with complex and unpredictable situations
Specific requirements
* Ability to receive / impart complex information from / to patients and medical colleagues.
* Able to move/handle patients and equipment.
* Good manual dexterity to safely manipulate radioactive materials in syringes etc.
