As part of a small nursery team, we are looking for someone who has recent experience of working in Early Years with a strong knowledge of the EYFS. You will need a Level 2 or above qualification, an excellent standard of written and spoken English and be willing to embrace our holistic and nurture-led ethos. If you are someone who has learning through play at the heart of their practice and who will work flexibly and patiently with children who have differing and wide-ranging understandings and experiences, then this will be the perfect job for you.
Working alongside a dedicated and experienced team, you will contribute to all aspects of the provision including developing nurturing relationships with children and families who have EAL. As a key person, you will be responsible for assessments and observations which include comprehensive paper based Learning Journeys, and will use In the Moment Planning to develop children's play, learning, experiences and language and communication on a daily basis.
The setting operates during term-time only and your hours will currently be 9.30 to 2.30 Monday to Thursday, term-time plus 2 weeks. Our setting promotes staff well-being and continual CPD and you will be encouraged to undertake relevant training and share this with the staff team.
