An exciting opportunity is available at the Wales Fertility Institute (WFI) to work as a Locum Consultant in Reproductive Medicine. This post is for a highly motivated individual to join a well-established multidisciplinary team at the Wales Fertility Institute. The post is a Full Time 10 session appointment and will commence as soon as possible. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will join the senior team of two consultants, one Specialist grade and one specialty Doctor in providing a complete range of services, as well as managing and training junior medical and nursing staff. The post holder will be expected to participate in all activities of the consultant-led general fertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART) service, including outpatient clinics, theatre lists and IVF procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfers, fertility scanning etc.). The successful candidate will also support the senior team in providing on-call cover for the Reproductive Medicine service during evenings and weekends on a 1:4 basis.The post holder will be expected to play a key role in the on-going development of the Fertility service and will work alongside the Clinical Lead and senior management team to further develop the fertility preservation service.
