We are looking for a Teacher of Maths to join us on a permanent contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join Five Acres High School and become an integral member of the support team.

Main Responsibilities:
1. To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
2. To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Tutor.
3. To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
4. To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
5. To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
You will need:
1. Qualified teacher status
2. Relevant Degree or equivalent level
3. Evidence of continuing professional development
4. An outstanding classroom practitioner
5. Awareness and or involvement with ITT/appropriate CPD
6. Able to identify strengths and weaknesses in students and act appropriately
7. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
8. Excellent communicator – sensitive & effective
9. An ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people including students, parents, governors, and colleagues
10. Knowledge of strategies to inspire and improve outcomes for students
11. The knowledge and vision to put strategies into practice to meet current and future challenges
12. Outstanding organisational skills to ensure efficient and effective operation
13. Confidence and experience in the use of ICT for learning, teaching and admin
14. Excellent logistic and organisational skills
15. A willingness to become involved in all aspects of school life
16. Commitment to high standards and expectations
17. High levels of professional integrity
18. The ability to work independently, willingness to take tough decisions and face the challenges of managing change
19. A commitment to sustaining and raising achievement, attainment and aspirations of all students
