Job Advert: Library Collections and Development Officer Grade 8. 29.6 hours a week until 31/07/2026. Are you looking to develop yourself and your career? We have an excellent opportunity for a candidate with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to take up an exciting position. You will have significant experience of managing Collections in a Public Library setting; overseeing efficient and effective use of the Libraries Materials budget; training staff in promoting library stock and in the use of stock management tools, such as Collection HQ. You will have experience of working effectively and collaboratively with staff, and other organisation personnel, to ensure our libraries reflect local communities and customer requirements. You will have experience of and be responsible for creating and ensuring delivery of the Audience Development Plan. You will co-ordinate participation in national, regional and local reader-centered initiatives. You will lead on the operational and development activities of the Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) in the Central Library- ideally having had experience of working with business information sources. In addition, you will be a member of the Libraries Leadership Team, working on a range of initiatives across the Service.
