Due to company expansion and business growth, we are looking for a Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial activities for the Ceramics Division. This is a brand new role, which is key to the future expansion of the division. We are interested in candidates from any industry who have the following experience:- Contract Management Experience Experienced in balancing multiple workloads Experienced in preparation of pricing quotations and the ability to calculate margins, costs and profitability, whilst also accounting for other factors such as volume and client expectations. Good business acumen and confidence in making decisions on whether business opportunities are worthwhile Structured in approach, but also flexible in order to react to urgent customer requirements. Excellent, high level, customer service experience. Strong IT capability including Microsoft Excel. The ability to pick up new IT systems quickly. Highly organized with strong administrative capabilities. Happy dealing with large levels of Administration as well as customer interaction. Ideally some supervisory experience. The role will involve high levels of administration and customer service. It may over time lead into a supervisory role as the division grows. Duties will include:- Fielding customer enquiries and ordering, by telephone or email. Oversee customer enquires/orders ensuring quotations are profitable and fully inclusive of costs & margin Working alongside production to ensure resource costs are accurate in order to maximise margin. Working alongside the Sales Director (and account managers to support with new business opportunities including market research to identify potential areas for expansion. Analyse end of month reports to ensure latest orders are profitable and correctly booked. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved. Work with other departments to ensure that customers’ orders are shipped in a timely manner and all requests are followed. Aide with the production of shipping documentation needed for import/export. Liaising with vendors, third party logistics providers and any other parties involved in the expedition of stock. Discussing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating existing and new business contracts to ensure risk is mitigated from business, including conduction of compliance checks. Ensuring that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance understand and adhere to contractual obligations Resolving contractual and commercial problems, recognising business risks and opportunities Travel to clients will be expected must have full driving license. The role will be based in our Wallasey site and involve regular travel to our head office in Dewsbury during the training period, which is expected to last up to 6 months.
