Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest in our front-line worker pay in line with the Living Wage increase each April. Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues. And so, if you start with us between now and 31st of March, your pay will be £11.94 per hour & then from the 1st April, this will increase to £12.62 per hour.
Who will you be supporting?
1. We are a lady and two gentlemen aged between 59 & 83.
2. We all live with learning disabilities but are very independent.
3. Our support team is trained to support our daily lives.
What is important to us?
1. We enjoy having very active lives and going out most days, particularly One to Ones, where we go out alone with a support worker.
2. We have lived together for many years; we do things together and as individuals with support.
3. One of the gentlemen loves his fish; he has a large fish tank he will enjoy showing you if you visit the Service.
4. We also enjoy our own space.
5. We enjoy Foreign Holidays every year.
6. We each enjoy going out alone with our Support Worker on a One to One; we also enjoy going out as a house for lunch or evening meal or other activities.
7. We are very friendly and welcoming.
8. If you are very proactive, engaging and looking out for new things you can support us to do, you will be very welcome. We like our Support Worker to be loyal and dedicated to the role and to be cheerful and understanding.
Your values:
We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; from people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, to people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
Naturally, it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to us, so we look for people with:
1. Patience
2. Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
3. A strong work ethic
4. Reliability
5. Honesty
6. Determination
7. A problem solver
8. Resilience
