Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our newly opening hotel Dallas Burston Polo Club and lead the hotel finance function. We are looking for an individual who can manage the demands of a quite distinctive property.
The Finance Manager will be an integral part of the pre and post-opening team and the day-to-day running and expansion thereafter. This is very much a high visibility, proactive, commercial/operational finance role requiring a confident, collaborative approach as well as the ability to challenge the norm.
As Financial Manager, you will have responsibility for all accounting records, controls, and management information. With excellent commercial acumen, you will oversee the production of forecasts whilst ensuring that the hotels achieve their financial targets.
You will need to demonstrate a thorough and practical understanding of P&L reporting as well as the separate companies' balance sheets and bank reporting requirements.

Role Responsibilities
You will need to:
1. Ensure day-to-day finance functions at the hotel are completed. This includes cash banking, credit card reconciliation, ordering and purchase ledger, and sales ledger functions.
2. Prepare payroll schedule for outsource HR agency.
3. Ensure compliance on both management and financial reporting, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external agencies to manage, facilitate, and coordinate all aspects of the finance function.
4. Collaborate with the Owners, Focus Head Office Finance Team, and the Hotel General Manager in developing financial targets and subsequent plans to ensure their delivery.
5. Provide weekly and monthly reporting to the Owners, including accurate and timely reporting of all financial aspects.
6. Prepare detailed workings for the preparation of the annual financial accounts and submissions of the statutory accounts.
You Are
* Commercially astute with strong analytical skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
* A track record of achievement within a financially driven environment and delivering multiple projects across a multi-site arrangement.
* An exceptional organiser with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills across a variety of disciplines.
* Experienced in working in a successful team.
You'll Have
* Considerable practical working experience with a variety of finance roles in a hotel environment or related hospitality industry.
* Experience working with different hotel operating systems, including PMS and EPOS solutions, as well as reporting tools to facilitate preparation of the variety of financial outputs required.
* Working knowledge of the requirements of an internal and external audit programme.
* A positive attitude towards dealing with various partners and external support organisations required for the delivery of the role.
