Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is an integral, first line management position, proficient in all day to day operations. They will be
responsible for key areas within the site, which will include planning, organizing and supervising daily production
activities.
The Supervisor will ensure compliant processing of product which adheres to Customer requirements and adheres to
company, quality, and regulatory standards.
The Supervisor will train, coach and mentor their team to a high standard that embraces a lean culture, aligned with
the company’s vision, mission and values.
The Supervisor will lead by example, creating a positive working environment, that engages in a continuous
improvement of Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost (SQDC).
Duties
1. Ensure processing of all products is in line with Customer expectations and meets processing parameters.
2. Motivate and develop a team that can cover all required tasks to a high standard, ensuring all tasks are covered and prioritised in the expected and most efficient order.
3. Drive attainment and promote improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) performance.
4. Lead with proper adherence to quality system procedures, Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
5. Facilitate a safety culture and perform safety audits to ensure proper use and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and that safety systems are in place and in use.
6. Investigate and report any near misses or incidents and ensure the site is in a safe condition at all times.

7. Train individuals and the team to a high standard ensuring competency is achieved and maintained to expected levels.
8. Help provide growth through talent development by giving opportunities to employees. This will be driven by effective coaching, counselling and setting meaningful and measurable goals.
9. To help create and maintain a proactive culture where team members are empowered to deliver the company values of PEOPLE, ACHIEVEMENT, INNOVATION, INTEGRITY and ACCOUNTABILITY.
10. Drive continuous improvement of 5s on site using lean principles and according to STERIS standards.
11. Promote and support site iniatives across departments through a proactive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Ensure all non-conforming product is identified, documented and segregated through the quarantine process.
Required Experience
12. Ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Operations Supervisor or similar role.
13. Hands on experience implementing operational processes.
Skills
14. Organizational skills and attention to detail.
15. Team Leadership with good interpersonal skills.
16. Qualification in management ILM 3 or equivalent.
17. Good knowledge of project management
18. Strong at administrative tasks and maintain a good standard.
