You’ll be supporting the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the broader finance team, getting involved in everything from monthly management accounts to statutory reporting and treasury functions. What You’ll Be Doing (No G rout About It): Group Accounting: Help craft monthly management accounts and insightful reports – we’re talking figures so polished they’ll shine brighter than a chrome tap Drive the month-end process with the kind of efficiency that would make a well-fitted pipe proud. Get down to the nitty-gritty with journal entries and variance analysis – no detail is too small Statutory Reporting: Assist in preparing those all-important external financial reports, including the consolidated financial statements for Victorian Plumbing Group plc. Become a vital part of the external audit process, working hand-in-hand with our auditors. Treasury: Ensure all our bank accounts, including those in foreign currencies, are reconciled with the precision of a perfectly installed shower. Play a key role in cash forecasting, ensuring our financial faucets are always flowing. General Duties: Reconcile balance sheet control accounts – keeping everything in perfect alignment. Strengthen and develop internal controls – ensuring our financial framework is as robust as our bathroom suites. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to support senior management decisions – think of yourself as the financial architect of our success Business partner with key stakeholders, and help enhance our understanding while supporting the wider organisation. What We’re Looking For (The Essential Kit): A burning desire to pursue a recognised accounting qualification – we’ll help you BOSS your exams Experience in technical financial accounting and reporting (desired but not essential) – we're happy to develop the right candidate.
