Job Description:
Eden Scott's is delighted to be supporting their long-standing client, a highly successful renewables business, on their search for a Project Manager / Project Developer (onshore wind / solar).
In this role you will be primarily responsible for the early phase development of new and current onshore wind projects across the UK, and potentially other renewable technologies such as Solar and Synchronous Condensers. You will be working to deliver construction-ready projects both with the business's internal project delivery team and in collaboration with their external development partners.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the development of specific Project(s) from initiation of Concept Phase through to Development Phase
* Oversight of third-party partners and providers of technical services
* Implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Assisting with landowner negotiations, as well as all other required development agreements.
* Co-ordinating and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR), and planning application preparation
* External stakeholder management including local communities and local authorities
* Coordination of multi-disciplinary teams both internal and external
The ideal skills, knowledge and qualifications include:
* Degree level qualification in Engineering, Business, or a Planning related discipline (or equivalent)
* At least 3 years relevant industry experience with specific experience in delivery of EIA applications.
* Experience of Project Management practice in the onshore wind or solar industry in the UK
* Experience in using GIS or similar programmes (ideally AutoCad Civil 3D, ArcGIS, QGIS, Wind Pro)
* Knowledge and experience of the Planning and Environmental Consenting systems in the UK
