Job Title: STRIDE: Community Development Officer Contract: Full Time Fixed Term Contract - 3 Years 9 months with possible extension. Responsible to: STRIDEProgramme Development and Delivery Manager Job Purpose:The STRIDECommunity Development Officerwill be upskilledto deliver the STRIDE Digital Design Thinking Programme through ideation workshops to 500+ participants andwill work with participants to identify and refine 44 digital focused social innovation projects (including 4 transformational projects) on the basis of the rural specific challenges&opportunitiesidentified;transport,economicdevelopment & young people.Given the focus on the community & voluntary sector, itisenvisagedthatthepostwillentaileveningservicedeliveryfromtime to time. Key Responsibilities: Engage with partners Leitrim County Enterprise Fund and Ulster University staff assisting with co-designing the STRIDE Design Think Programme. Engage, along with the FODC Community Engagement Officer, rural citizens, community groups and statutory agencies to secure participation and continued engagement in ideation workshops for the programme. Collaborate with Leitrim County Enterprise Fund and Ulster University staff to design resources, delivery materials, schemes of work and delivery plans to ensure the standardised and effective delivery of the programme. Effectively deliver stimulating and engaging ideation workshops facilitating the STRIDE Design Think Programme to 50 groups/500 participants over the duration of the programme. Support, when necessary, the delivery of the programme in Counties Sligo and Leitrim. Evaluate delivery of the programme and use feedback to continuously refine and enhance programme delivery Support participants in ideation workshops through the STRIDE Design Think Programme to shape 44 challenges (4 transformational and 40 societal). Engage with participants, communities and statutory agencies to distill the challenges identified during the STRIDE Design Think Programme into workable social innovation projects, which can be addressed through the application of digital technologies. Establish and manage at least five cross-border thematic clusters (potentially including tourism, energy/climate change) to ensure learning and best practice is exchanged. Coordinate the delivery of one cross-border STRIDE Symposium per annum to ensure dissemination of the outcomes from the project to participants, community groups and Statutory Agencies. Collaborate with STRIDE staff to populate the STRIDE Empowering Communities Portal with case studies detailing completed projects. Proactively work as a member of the STRIDE team to ensure all targets and KPIs are achieved on time and within budget. Support student engagement with the STRIDE project, collaborating with staff across the College to connect students with the Design Think element of the project, maximising learning opportunities including supporting students to engage in dissemination and knowledge transfer events. Experience& Skills A minimum of 2 years experience in demonstrating the following: Substantial experience in community engagement and development activities and building relationships with community and voluntary sector organisations/groups to achieve predetermined outcomes. Experience in the design and delivery of high quality educational or development programmes with quantifiable outcomes. Demonstrable evidence of evaluating and refining programmes of learning to ensure continuous improvement. Stakeholder engagement experience, evidencing well- developed networks and relationships, delivering a high- quality service across a wide range of customers and stakeholders in business, education, industry and/or government. Demonstrable experience of theflexibleworkingpractices including delivery of programmes in a community setting. General Access to a car and able to travel between campuses and other business use as required or ability to demonstrate mobility.
