My client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their civil construction team in the Canterbury region. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting civil projects while enjoying the excellent lifestyle this area provides. As a motivated Project Engineer, you'll support the Project Manager across various civil construction initiatives, taking ownership and ensuring safety with a strong focus on service and quality. You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality civil projects within schedule and budget constraints
* Provide specialized technical expertise as needed
* Lead and motivate effective project teams and subcontractors
* Be a champion for health and safety practices
* Collaborate with management and stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
* Civil Engineering degree, equivalent qualification, or comparable experience
* Proven track record managing water infrastructure, pump stations, treatment plants, utilities, roading, deep trenching, and other civil construction projects
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Financial acumen for successful budget management
* Experience leading diverse teams across various project types
