Senior Technical Design Manager - Residential - Cornwall.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Architect, Technical Manager or Senior Technical Manager who is looking for a new challenge/progression with a high-specification developer. The successful applicant will have experience in multiple aspects of the design process from start to finish, working for a well-established regional developer.
About the Company
A reputable housing developer who builds good quality developments across Cornwall and South Devon, taking pride in progressing their own staff members. They are a close-knit team who work together well and offer a supportive dynamic working environment. This is a great opportunity to work with a luxury house builder who excels in delivering a great company culture. You will be working within a team of Land Buyers, Development Managers, Project Managers, and Quantity Surveyors. Due to a strong pipeline, our client needs an individual with strong experience in housing and new build residential schemes.
The Role
You will be responsible for the technical information when planning a project, which could include requirements from the client, building regulations, and site surveys. You will assist with the preparation and development of submissions to regulatory bodies such as planning applications, and provide technical support to the architect and project team. You will also contribute to the detailed design process and coordinate this information, carrying out risk assessments and feasibility studies as well as producing work drawings.
Along with being involved in the design detail, this position also gives you the opportunity to liaise and coordinate external consultants. You will work alongside the in-house construction and design team on live sites and oversee schemes from a technical viewpoint, issuing and coordinating technical information, and being the first port of call for any technical queries.
