An opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join a market-leading food wholesaler and distributor, you’ll focus on developing business across specialised sectors including healthcare, education, pubs, hotels, hospitality and leisure covering the north-east. Responsibilities of a Key Account Manager: To win, retain and develop new customers and grow existing customer share of wallet, including group consortia and regional accounts. To maximise the full business potential and cash return. To work closely with the telesales teams, category specialists, NAMs and suppliers to create leads You'll convert customers using strong sales and negotiation skills through the delivery of value-added initiatives and solutions to meet a wide range of customer needs. You’ll bring determination, tenacity and a genuine passion for all things food-related to get in front of hard-to-reach decision makers, and the flexible and results-driven approach required to convert them. This will be backed up with drive and motivation, and the ability to work cohesively within a team whilst using your own capabilities to deliver results through your own actions. Requirements: Field based key account management/new business experience managing a multi-million-pound ledger Consultative selling experience A track record of exceeding sales revenue and profit targets A passion for food Package: On offer is a basic salary of £38,500 an OTE of £15 - £18,000, car allowance £6,800, 25 days holiday, contributory pension plus many more corporate benefits
