Your role:
We are looking for a Licensing and Business Development Associate Director within Science and Lab Solutions covering biology, chemistry, diagnostics, and other domains. You will identify and execute external partnerships in line with the SLS and portfolio strategies. You will source and manage a broad network of partners with the intent to develop a robust pipeline of opportunities for strategic partnerships and licensing opportunities contributing toward annual revenue and margin targets. Deal types to include, but not be limited to, co-development, licensing, distribution, co-marketing, OEM, and research collaborations. You will be responsible for scouting partners, evaluating and negotiating deals, and drafting and executing contracts while coordinating multiple cross-functional stakeholders such as R&D, legal, product management, regulatory, and quality. You perform additional business-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the team's objectives and ensure operational efficiency.

Who you are:
Minimum qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science and 10+ years industry experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships (non-sales), BD&L with demonstrated deal closure of single deals valuing >=10M USD + 10Y NPV or Graduate Degree in a Scientific field AND 8+ years industry experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships (non-sales), BD&L with demonstrated deal closure of single deals valuing >=10M USD + 10Y NPV
2. Demonstrated experience in negotiation and knowledge of basic contract language and contract negotiation.
3. Financial acumen and ability to build and defend financial analyses and business cases including DCFs for both consumables and digital assets.
4. Strong networking and intelligence gathering skills.
5. Ability to operate as an individual contributor in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources.
6. Strong presentation skills targeted to C-suite audiences.
Preferred qualifications:
1. MBA
2. Experience working within a matrixed environment.
3. Understanding of IP protections, contract negotiations, and Venture Capital.
4. German or French proficiency is a plus.
Travel, including international, up to 30% of time. Open to any location with close proximity to an airport.
