Hours of work are 35 hours per week, working 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.
This is a new position that has been created working for a Construction company based in West Bromwich. You will be an essential part of the purchase ledger & accounts team and will be responsible for assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations and month-end reconciliation and reporting.
Working as the Finance Manager, your duties will include:
1. Being responsible for the purchase ledger invoice processing, dealing with up to 300 invoices daily
2. Managing a team of 6 - 9 accounts staff
3. Dealing with the supplier statement reconciliation and payment processing
4. Maintaining the bank and visa reconciliation
5. Managing lease payments and accruals
6. Reconciling the nominal accounts
7. Dealing with the month-end reports (Sage & Contract Costing)
8. Dealing with invoice queries as and when required
9. Supporting with payroll as and when required
As the Finance Manager you will:
10. Possess previous experience working within a busy accounts department, experienced in processing a high volume of purchase invoices
11. Must have experience of managing a team of minimum 6 staff
12. Have previous experience working within the Construction or Civil Engineering sector, however, this is not essential
13. Hold an Accounting, AAT/ACCA, or a Degree in Business Finance, however, this is not essential
14. You may have experience working as one of the following: Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Purchase Ledger Lead, Assistant Accounts Manager, Accounts Supervisor, Finance Assistant, PL Clerk, Ledger Clerk, Finance Manager, Assistant Accountant or experienced working within a similar role dealing with a high volume of invoices.
As the Finance Manager, your salary will be circa £42,000 per annum depending on experience plus a fantastic range of benefits.
