Hours: Saturdays and Sundays: 8:30 am - 10:30 am but can be flexible to suit your schedule
We are thrilled to announce a new opportunity within the brand-new Animal Management Department at John Ruskin College. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Animal Technician.
Role Overview:
The Animal Technician will play a vital role in our department, with responsibilities including daily animal husbandry tasks and supporting with lessons and practical sessions. You will be sole charge of the animal unit during the weekends; therefore, you must be reliable and able to work independently.
This role is perfect for Animal Care Assistants, student Veterinary Nurses, and others in the early stages of their animal care careers who are looking to gain varied and hands-on experience in a dynamic educational environment.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about animal care and welfare and eager to gain diverse experience with a range of animals.
The successful candidate must have:
1. A full and clean driving license
2. Experience working with a variety of animal species
3. Commitment to maintaining high standards of animal care, welfare, and ethical conduct
4. Minimum Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent
