An exciting opportunity has been created at Design Manager level to join a major projects division of a commercial fit out contractor working on projects in central London.

Their major projects division in London is experiencing growth and so has a newly-created position at Design Manager level. This role is within a high calibre team who have a proven track record across their last 5+ projects so presents a fantastic learning opportunity.
Description
* Oversee the design process from conception to completion.
* Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
* Ensure that all designs meet company and industry standards.
* Provide guidance to junior design staff.
* Manage design budgets and timelines.
* Work closely with the construction team to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
* Continually stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
* Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Profile
This role could suit an experienced, job running Architect looking to move to a Main Contractor or a Design Coordinator/Manager looking for a fresh challenge. Successful applications should have:
* An educational background in Design, Architecture, or a related field.
* Proven experience working through Stages 3-7 on commercial CAT A & CAT B schemes
* A background working on major projects (c.£100m in value) will be highly advantageous
* High levels of technical knowledge and a background solving complex coordination and construction issues
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and drive design teams
You must have the right to work in the UK and will be comfortable working 5 days/wk on site in central London.
Job Offer
* A competitive salary in the range of £55,000 to £70,000 (depending on experience)
