At CooperSurgical (CSI) we are currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer for our three sites in UK, Holland and Germany. You will be responsible for developing and managing the environmental, health and safety programmes for these sites. You will have your daily workspace at our production site at Falmouth, Cornwall UK and you should be willing to travel to the sites when needed. The position is hybrid with an expected four days in office in Falmouth. Applicants must be eligible to work in UK and travel without Visa in EU. Position In the role as Health and Safety officer you will be responsible for the overall EHS strategy for the sites, while at the same time establish policies, programs and training of personal in UK and EMEA sites. As an individual contributor, its vital you have solid knowledge and experience with local regulations, risk – assessments, statutory accreditation, audits etc. Its not the first time you have made the EHS strategy for an international company, and acting as the subject matter expert is something you take pride in. You have previous experience with engaging and influencing cross functionally and have a good understanding of culture differences and behaviours. You have a collaborative and positive behaviour, which help foster teamwork environment. You thrive in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment. By using your collaborative and communication skills, while at the same time prioritize and implement plans accordingly. You will work closely together with stakeholders in the global organization. The position as Health and Safety Officer is vital for the success and growth of the CooperSurgical company. Your key responsibilities Lead and manage Health and Safety for production sites in UK and EMEA Drive the strategy and implementation of EHS local and regionally Ensure policies, programs and training meet the legal requirements Manage performance monitoring and compile performance reports, analysis and review Manage site Incident and action database and react accordingly Your Qualifications NEBOSH / IOSH / COSHH level or equivalent experience gained from within a manufacturing environment 3-7 years of experience from a similar role In depth knowledge of UK and European Health and Safety legislation and practices- Awareness of USA OSHA would be an advantage. Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint Use of statistical methods & practices Good interpersonal and motivational skills with the ability to work cross functionally with multiple value streams Why join CooperSurgical?
