We have a part-time (22.2 hours) Day Service Coordinator vacancy at Oakley and the Woodlands Day Centres based in Cheltenham.
As a Day Service Coordinator, you’ll help people to lead fulfilling, dignified lives.
The Oakley Day Centre is a purpose-built day service for adults with learning disabilities. It is run as a needs-led service, with activities being planned using information gathered through Person Centred Plans. Examples of current activities are swimming, art, and relaxation. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
The Woodlands is an independent service situated in the grounds of Oakley Adult Opportunity Centre in Cheltenham. It is a purpose-built day service for adults with learning disabilities including Autism, complex needs, and behaviours that can challenge, individuals who may not integrate as well in traditional social environments. There are many aims to this service, particularly maximising service user choice, independence, and inclusion. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, and challenging behaviours.
Working with management, as well as on your own initiative, you’ll encourage people to take part in sessions and activities to enhance their independence. You’ll also develop care plans and risk assessments to help people with their personal care and day-to-day needs. By working closely with parents, carers, and other professionals, you’ll help us achieve positive outcomes for the people we care for.

About you:
As well as an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, you’ll also have hands-on experience working with people who have physical, mental health, or behavioural needs. Committed to enhancing the lives of people with a range of abilities, you’ll be confident providing personal care and administering medication. What’s more, you’ll be proactive about your professional development and passionate about helping us take our service from strength to strength.
