Infrastructure Analyst - Liverpool or Manchester (35 hours per week)
As part of our ambitious IT consolidation and upgrade roadmap, this role involves working with cutting-edge technologies and managing technical delivery for various projects. The successful candidate will report to the Service Delivery Manager – Infrastructure and join a dynamic infrastructure team delivering high-quality technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to maintain operational IT systems across UK and international offices.
* Provide technical guidance for project implementation from RFP to BAU support.
* Troubleshoot complex issues and support other Infrastructure Analysts.
* Create and maintain documentation, test plans, and recovery methods.
* Stay updated on infrastructure and security trends to enhance IT service delivery.
* Align with enterprise architects, project management, and service desk teams to support the IT vision.
* Contribute to knowledge transfer and move repetitive tasks to service desk teams where possible.
Essential Skills
* Strong expertise in VMware management, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Server technologies (Server 2016, 2019, 2022).
* Networking knowledge for troubleshooting and routing; basic switch configuration desirable.
* Familiarity with disaster recovery and high-availability technologies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows file services.
* Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and telephony systems (SIP trunking, routing).
* Analytical skills and experience with change/problem management processes.
Desirable Skills
* ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
* Certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or AZ-700.
* Knowledge of Office 365, VMware VSAN, and data centre technologies.
* Familiarity with cyber security, iManage10, Remote Desktop Services, and FortiGate firewalls.
