We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team in Glasgow.
As a service engineer with Stewart Plant Sales, you will visit a variety of customer sites throughout the area to carry out maintenance, repairs and services on Construction Plant equipment alongside Crushing and Screening equipment.
Previous crusher experience would be advantageous, but not essential.

With over 50 years’ experience, Stewart Plant Sales sells a wide range of plant equipment including crushers, screeners, site dumpers, rollers, air compressors, compaction equipment, pumps and abrasive cutting equipment from manufacturers including Tesab, Lippmann, JCB, Atlas Copco, Clipper, Stihl, and Tsurumi Pump.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Service, maintenance and repair of plant, crushers and screeners at customer sites
* Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily on a phone or tablet
* Submitting daily timesheets and job cards
* Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department
* Working closely with the service supervisor
* Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers
* Carrying out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required - in conformance with manufacturer’s specification and any regulations affecting their use
* Ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine – and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment
The ideal candidate will have:
* Relevant qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ qualifications in Construction Plant Maintenance
* Experience working on crushers and screeners
* Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
* The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy environment
* Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers
* Good IT skills
* A flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work
